I order prescription medications from ValleyVet.com - they send a faxed request to the vet, the vet just signs off and the meds come straight to my door. Links to medication are provided. -- be sure to call your vet in advance to let them know what you are ordering and why: Sulfa Med: for treatment of cocci in kids and adults (40% sulfadimethoxine) https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=77EABD27-5727-428A-A945-3FA5E22A6BA8 Bo-Se - Selenium supplement -- to prevent selenium deficiency and white muscle disease in kids https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=30E079F3-7B6A-11D5-A192-00B0D0204AE5 Thiamine (B1) - for goat Polio or Listerosis https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=B465119F-11A6-4B99-BC0F-94C4A030DE4B Vitamin B12 - for anemia https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=AF962A86-50A8-4DDB-BB05-79BC60808FD4 Dexamethasone - for inflammation after injury or infection as well as to treat aspiration of birth fluids in kids https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=30E072E9-7B6A-11D5-A192-00B0D0204AE5 Nuflor - Super D Duper Antibiotic - for pneumonia and severe illness – this drug is not to be used lightly as it kills ALL bacteria, good and bad, and can severely depress the immune system of a goat with a small infection that could easily have been treated with Biomycin. ALWAYS USE BIOMYCIN or LA200 FIRST. Nuflor is off-label for goats, but the only antibiotic that will treat some illness quickly and efficiently. BURNS like the fires of hell when going in (this drug will *very rarely* be used, and is quite exensive, so if your vet is willing to dispense this drug when needed, you can forgo purchasing) https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=30E07A12-7B6A-11D5-A192-00B0D0204AE5 Draxxin- antibiotic- Draxxin is also used for pneumonia and severe illness. The amount used is minimal per pound. If you are close to a vet then getting is dispensed when needed might be advisable. A bottle of this is also very expensive. Banamine - for pain - you'll RARELY use this one, but when you need it, you NEED it https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=78DB03F7-1971-449E-B815-5F7182E048EA |
